There doesnt seem to be much of a root cause or indicator of young white men and mass shootings.
There is a distinct socioeconomic demographic that leads to gang violence and inner-city shootings. We have spent decades trying (and succeeding) to reduce this specific type of violence. But it still persists.
There are dozens if not hundreds of programs aimed at curbing inner-city violence. There are none that I know of to curb suburban white mass shootings.
Im 100% willing to have a conversation if there is a direction to start. Everything above suggests that there is not. But if I were to start this conversation, I would probably start with two professional parents and a kid who is on his own more time than not. My best friend growing up made his own dinner 4-5 nights a week because his parents were working or gone. He ended up a POS, unsurprisingly.
