Because our preseason senior All American missed the entire season due to off the court issues. We didn't have any alternative options to curtail Pressey.

That team was still loaded without Dixon while Bowers was at full strength. But even after Bowers returned to the court he was a shell of himself. No team is so good that it can overcome the loss of a preseason All American and a mid-season candidate for the Naismith POY without taking a step back.
