He likely told Alden there were no issues at Miami and then as soon as Alden hired him the NCAA came calling. I've no doubt that ticked Alden off because it made him look silly for taking the guy. When Haith went the transfer route and still could't make the tourney it became clear that he wasn't the coach Mizzou needed long term.
