including man, with man being given a soul and free will.
Eve didn't get the lesson. Adam knew he was sinning. Through one man, Adam, sin entered into the world.
"For all have sinned". All who come to the age of reason, have the ability to understand right from wrong. Those who are babes and do not reach that age, like David's son, go to heaven.
The sin nature passes from on generation to another, but the penalty for the sin of the father does not.
"“If, however, he begets a son
Who sees all the sins which his father has done,
And considers but does not do likewise;
Who has not eaten on the mountains,
Nor lifted his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel,
Nor defiled his neighbor’s wife;
Has not oppressed anyone,
Nor withheld a pledge,
Nor robbed by violence,
But has given his bread to the hungry
And covered the naked with clothing;
Who has withdrawn his hand from the poor
And not received usury or increase,
But has executed My judgments
And walked in My statutes—
He shall not die for the iniquity of his father;
He shall surely live!
“As for his father,
Because he cruelly oppressed,
Robbed his brother by violence,
And did what is not good among his people,
Behold, he shall die for his iniquity.
“Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the guilt of the father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live. The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
“But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord God, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?
“But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.
“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair?
“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord God. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”"
There is a distinction between those who follow in the wicked path of the father, and those who do not.
As to Christ's sacrifice, He first gave up His royal surroundings, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, (never ceasing to exist as God) did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross."
He didn't just died, He suffered the torment of hell for the sin of all mankind for all time. You say you would give up your life, but in addition, toss on top of that eternal torment for their sin. He actually suffered that as a man, but because He was sinless, He was able to defeat sin and death and conquer hell. It's one thing to die for another, but it's an entirely different matter to suffer the torment of all eternity for them. Those are not the same thing.
If your friend was a believer, he was relieved of the burdens of this world, and gained immediate entrance to glory, and it is rather selfish to want him to give that up so you can feel better. If he was not, he got what he earned, what is just, what he deserved, and what is fair, the wages of sin, eternal death.
God was the same place on that day that He was when His own Son died and suffered the torment of hell for all eternity for you, and for your nephew. Again, you took the self centered view of events, and are angry God relieved the suffering of his mortal body. You would rather have him back that allow him the bliss of glory.
You listened to the lies of the evil one who told you God was cheating you, and you bought it hook, line, and sinker. Job had it much worse than you, and yet he would not blame God, but said, The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. The Lord rebuke you. Suffering is a result of man's sin, not God's cruelty. You have laid false accusations at the feet of God who took your sin upon Himself. How can you claim that someone who took the time to take on flesh to die for your sin, so that you could escape the eternal torment of hell, is unloving?
