She said the deal was responsible for slowing down their nuclear program which was the first step. The next part of the sentence is about Iran's activities in places like Syria and Libya, not about nuclear weapons. The JCPOA was a deal to stop their nuclear program and nothing more. It was successful in that.

She is correct that it did nothing to stop their other ambitions and actions in the region but that wasn't the point of the nuclear deal. I agree with her and Trump that more needs to be done to curtail their actions. But I don't think cancelling the deal and allowing them to restart their program is the smart.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
