She didn't use the city police department to investigate

and instead hired a private firm to do whatever it was she did.
There is no police report ever filed, no known civil complaint, nothing. I wonder why that would be.
What indication did she have that her office needed to investigate outside of police jurisdiction?
You clearly have no idea about Ms. Gardner, her losing 60+% of her lawyers, her sitting on cases like the poor Korean gentleman who was beaten, ultimately to death, by a few wayward young men in the knockout game, and refusing to send a DA to speak with him prior to his death, then saying she couldn't go to the grand jury because, darn the luck, the victim was dead and without his testimony she couldn't go to the GJ.
It's a fiasco, and yes, she is both a socialist and a social justice warrior first, and defender of law second.
