A gun is merely a vessel, as I said, to cause large amounts of damage in a very short amount of time. They are far too easy to acquire, period, and many people who acquire them legally should not.
There is no need in our world today for average citizens to have assault style rifles with 20-40 round magazines.
If the government gave up these types of arms, would that help? The government does not need them either.
