You want to whine about how horrible and sub-par the fan base is (or at least some do), but then is no one curious as to why.

Being called racists, a false accusation in this case, puts people off.

Why support a bunch of social justice warriors?

Sure, if YOU'RE a social justice warrior you think it's great.

But what about the 50% of fans that have been called racists?

It's the difference between gathering the fanbase to win basketball games and fighting about politics.

Which is it going to be? Can't have both and still win the maximum number of games.
