and should therefore relinquish its made up power to interpret the Constitution.

If we are to follow the law as it is written, then SCOTUS would be rendered a near-powerless court, hearing the rare original jurisdiction case and a handful of appeals from the federal courts (which would be hearing hardly any cases too).
