since getting 22 minutes against Emporia State, CVL's mpg are:
21 vs Long Beach State
14 vs St. Johns
11 vs WVU
9 vs UCF
14 vs Miami
9 vs Green Bay
That's still an alarmingly high 13 minutes per game; however, the overall trajectory is in the right direction (his overall season avg is 15 mpg) and, come conference season, we should see significantly less than 10 minutes per game of CVL on the floor.
Where CVL has improved IMO is in his ability to disappear inside the game, to neither help nor hurt the team, although he did suffer an embarrassing fail in the last 2 minutes of the game when, after being beat badly off the dribble and giving up the baseline, he simply fell down trying to unsuccessfully grab his player before he could score and then, while laying on the floor trying to cover his face from being stepped on he was called for the trip as his player was scoring over his prone body.
Unfortunate sequence:

That really is the key to him being able to get on the floor for a minute or two stretch and give another player a breather although even against teams such as UWGB, he's at risk of exposure by bigger, stronger, more athletic players.
