This only adds one game - one between the 4th and 5th best conferences as determined by a poll. No committee. You need to win a division. Then win a conference to possibly be the overall champion. Plus it leaves the bowl structure intact. You could even use one of the bowls as the round 2 game between the 4th and 5th conference champions.
