and no I don't want to expand the playoffs. But to me, to have four slots with five major conferences is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. No concrete criteria, everything is subjective and a team like Alabama might be penalized because FSU lost their QB to injury in the first game and is mediocre.

And for the "Big 12" to be allowed a farce of a "championship" game with playing a round robin schedule is another wacked out part of this. Because believe me that "championship" will be "factored" in when they pick OU.
