Make money for the NCAA and the conference schools.
It's not like they haven't had smart people analyzing the arrangement.
How do we
1. maintain the number of football bowl games and
2.keep team's fans interested enough to travel to the games and increase ad revenues by doing so, and
3. complete the games in early Jan so that we don't impose on the very short 12-14 weeks of NCAA basketball revenues.
