10 team playoff. The 10 teams are the division champs. Notre Dame - find a conference. Non power 5 - screw you. Round 1 is the conference championship. That gets you to 5 teams. Since that is an odd number the top 3 teams get byes and the next two play in round 2 to become the fourth team. Then 1 and 4 play and 2 and 3 play. No jockeying to make the playoffs - those teams are decided already. Only need a committee to decide who has to play in round 2 but I would just use the AP poll.
