I recall Terez Hall was a complete Odom recruit too. Ultimately I decided to give the head coach the credit.
Agree the Defense is FAR from a finished product. But I also disagree with those who criticize Odom for recruiting and that disagreement is primarily due to the depth that we see on Defense that is directly due to Odom's recruiting.
We HAD to fix the D-Line depth - it was decimated by consecutive years of early-entrees and dismissals. And in just his second year we are getting significant contributions from Anderson, Williams, Brandon, Whiteside, Utsey, Palmore and Turner. Byers is right behind them.
At LB I think Garrett, Bledsoe, Miller (BIG hit on kick coverage btw), and Brooks are much more representative of the types of athletes we need at LB than Beisel and Burkett.
In the defensive backfield Sparks, Acy and Alton are beating out older players.
