i think the d-league would become the landing place for 2 types of players:
1) the "elite" guys who are legitimate 1-and-done types
2) the guys who are academically ineligible and are either forced to go juco or through a corrupt clearing house charade

i think the real benefit to the ncaa member schools is scenario #2. they really don't want to deal with the illiterate morans who currently make a mockery of their institution of higher learning.
