my deduction after evaluating all available evidence is that the MU Defense will be improved to just below average from awful last year. That means this Defense will have trouble getting off the field at times and will need SEC offenses to stop themselves or will need to be very opportunistic, i.e. the old Pinkel bend-but-don't-break approach.
If the Defense can be good in one statistical category, it'll need to be in Redzone Scoring Defense.
If the Defense is just simply average, that will be a huge improvement. To ask this defense to be good is too much IMO.
