we do and whom they are selling to. If the candidate comes into an interview wearing a suit there is a higher likelihood that they don't have that understanding compared to someone that doesn't feel the need to dress to the 9's to impress me. I'm not saying I won't hire someone in a suit or that it's always a negative, but they have more to prove to me than someone that knows the environment and dresses nice, without overdressing.
My whole point is, there's no perfect formula for every job. The old time "wear a suit to every interview" just doesn't apply today. While a suit is more acceptable and expected in most job interviews, it's not for every interview. And the differentiation of when it is and isn't appropriate or needed is not based off the pay of the job.
