if ou went to the sec and ut the acc, as an example, then ku would likely go to the big, and k-state would go to the mountain west or, perhaps, form a new league with the others.

i think this is third most likely scenario because none of these conference schools want to lose rivalries, bust up instate relationships, deal with legislatures, travel all over hell's half acre, and all the rest.

more likely, some sort of alliance with football and mbb between the big12 and pac12. the big12 is stable now. the pac is a mess. that's why it makes sense.

second most likely, the two arizona schools join the big12 when the gor's expires a year earlier than ours. remember, those two left the wac in '78 for the pac. it's not like missouri leaving the big 12 after being a 1907 founding member.
