It sounds great in theory. It would be awesome for the fans.
But because there's so much to work out, it sounds like somebody (and perhaps several people) are going to get screwed.
You'd have to work out the LHN, which games will appear on the network, which schools and when, who get what percentage of the profits. I just can't see that being down where all parties are 100% happy and it's 100% fair to everyone. I'm not saying it can't be done. But, that's A LOT to overcome.
I think a simpler solution for the Big 12 would to just have it's own conference network. Screw the Pac-12.
If the Big 12 can work out a deal with the LHN:
The Big 12 wouldn't need any help from the Pac-12.
The Big 12 would only split the profits 10 ways, not 22.
The Big 12 fans would be happier.
The Big 12 would have it's own coverage.
It just seem like having it's own network is the better solution for the Big 12.
