of course. A lot of people join the military because they cannot support their wife or wife and child in the private sector. Say you are a single mom at 19 and was a pretty good student but got pregnant. The military offers an income and health insuraance for your child and a chance for a skill and or a paid education. I would enlist there will be a few rough patches but it is better in the military
