What if we could save 400 more.
If four hundred to go to charter schools they would stand a better chance. And you are correct, they have advantages that public schools don't. But if the ship is sinking, wouldn't you rather be in a lifeboat than doomed ship? Not everyone gets a seat in the lifeboat, only some. Should no one got to use them?
There is no perfect solution. Government schools in the inner cities are a bad joke. The valedictorians that come out of there are not college capable. It is silly in my opinion, to say that it would be unfair to save only 400 of the 1000.
When as it is today, virtually all of the 1000 are doomed to the lives of their parents have lived.
