Now I have any number of things to draw to question the reading of the NT as history - b/c it simply isn't. But I want to see what is the rationale behind the myth.
Why raised from the dead?
Death is the conclusion of birth. NOTHING harder wil you ever do than be born. Death is a glorious sweet release to that source from which we arose.
"Trailing Clouds of Glory do we come from God who is our home" - Wordsworth.
So, this Rising from a tomb I don't find appealing. Living forever as the being, the guy I am now? No thanks man. I am all for Eternity, but not like this. So again, this celebration, this idea that if you dance the dance what is your very birthright - eternity.
The Golden Rule did not originate with Jesus, but with Confusius. The Ghita tells you you are eternal. It is all good.
So why rise from the dead with all this drama?
