acknowledge that he came into a little bit of turmoil and had a relatively thin roster to work with. a few injuries didn't help.
to me the biggest difference between BO and KA is where they are in their career and their trajectory. KA had an entire career to prove that he's a capable coach ready to take on a D1 program, and he clearly never made that step. there is no upside in KA. unfortunately nearly everyone saw that well before the hire was made, and now we're suffering through the inevitable.
BO is still early in his career and has shown a lot of promise. he might be the type of situation where we got him early and maybe he becomes great and we reap the rewards for a long, long time. or he could be terrible. but that's the gamble with any young coach. i'd argue with BO it's worth the gamble. we'll see.
