I completely agree with your assessment.
Just to clarify with everyone this does not mean this Tiger team will not be good. It only means they are an unknown.
On top of graduating a ton of offensive power with Fagan, Crane, and Gadbois, they also lost their top pitcher to transfer.
Can this young team replace the offensive talent that was lost? Can the young pitching staff prove they are better? I don't know, but that is what will make this season fun to watch. Sometimes it is nice to be the underdog.
This will by my 3rd consecutive year attending the WCWS. I will continue to take my family, and fully expect that Mizzou will make a return in the next 2-3 years. I just don't think it will be this year. I will be so happy to be proven wrong.
