win recruiting battles against other SEC schools and mid-to-high level P5 programs.

The ability to do that is a skill you either have or you don't. He simply doesn't seem to be the "recruiter type" who can reel in top players the way, say, Kentucky's head coach is able to, as you mentioned.

The only schools BO is beating out, for the most part, are mid-majors, and occasionally a school like kansas or iowa state. It's not a good sign for the future.
