ummmm: I don't have a problem with the police apprehending and moving the person. I don't see the need for stiff (or any) criminal penalties. Just keep the peace.

So you do believe

1. there can and should be a government with authority even over those within its jurisdiction who do not accept its authority?

2. that government could and should use force if necessary to move/remove someone masturbating in front of children?

3. that government could and should use force if necessary to move/remove someone masturbating in front of children, even if the pervert is on his/her own property?

4. that government could and should use force if necessary to move/remove someone having sex with animals in front of children, even if the pervert is on his/her own property?

But

This is much ado about nothing. People enjoy feeling contemptuous, that's my takeaway.

you don't think perverts masturbating or having sex with animals in front of children is any big deal and should have no criminal penalties for such "crimes"?
