He has in year 3 of the worst tenure in program history. He is making $1.5 million dollars to coach this team to last place finishes. He deserves every complaint that is given to him. He isn't volunteering for this. This isn't a charity. It's a professional sports endeavor that he has failed at. Quit giving him a free pass and crying that people are being mean to him. This is the real world. Do your job or get the consequences of being terrible at it.
