Your tactic of lobbing out a snarky metaphorical device and letting the implication stand in place of an argument may be self-satisfying, but I think it sucks in terms of helping you discuss issues how you claim to want them discussed.
Should businesses not leverage buying power to influence vendors and their subsidiaries to act in ways they value?
Is any government entity held to a different ethical standard in this regard? Maybe citizens should demand this type of positioning from their government if they feel it is in their best interest.
Your implication that a threat was made to destroy the facility is cute. the threat here is about sourcing elsewhere, but go on with your hyperbolic line.
