What profit? If I spent $100,000 developing a product and

bringing it to market only to have someone copy the idea I have no profit. I have to pay for production costs and recoup my investment. The guy who simply steals my idea only has to make up production costs. I can never compete with him.

If this the business model then it is stupid to invest in research and development.

Why is this such a difficult concept for you?
