Embryo, fetus, newborn, infant, toddler, pre-schooler, kindergartner, middle schooler, pre-teen, teen, young adult, elderly among others are names we give to human beings at various stages of his or her life.

They are at different points along their timeline from when they were created, at conception, until his or her death, but they are human beings at every point along that timeline.

That is not a religious belief, it is a scientific fact.
