recruiter and recruiting good players as a result.

Your anger is misplaced. It's not SLU's fault we hired a 60 year old D-2 coach with absolutely no recruiting skills.

And then we did virtually the same thing in football, except younger and head coached at the High School level instead of D-2.

We have no one to blame but our own incompetent administration for the blazing dumpster fires that our basketball and football programs have become.
