If there are a lot of private road bidders that are clamoring to buy every/most stretches of road and can build and maintain more cost-effectively and efficiently than the govt., fantastic. I don't think there exists enough private investors, and I don't know they will respond to inclement weather like the current system, especially if they lack efficiencies of scale re: equipment. Maybe they would fill pot holes with pink slime?
