not think it serves any real purpose (other than college basketball) for a kid to come to college for one year. Most go to class just enough to play the first year and then bail the second semester. If a kid is good enough to play in the NBA, he should be able to go right away. If a high school kid is extremely talented with computers and Microsoft wants them immediately, he does not need to go to college for one year. Heck, they could start at 16 if they wanted to.
