play the first year in college on the regular team? Go back to what they did in the old days. I am not saying it is ever going to happen. Just throwing it out there. It seems like many young players come to college believing their own hype and if they are not starters as freshmen, they start to think they are getting screwed over and need to transfer. The reality is that very few freshmen can compete with seniors for many minutes. Not playing as freshmen would give them time to adjust academically and being away from friends and family.
