A few key moments can define a coach's success.
I remember reading that we were the favorites for Dante Anderson in 2008. He was supposed to be one of the elite scorers in that class, and he was a package deal with his teammate, Shaq Johnson. Their coach was set to come to Mizzou as a grad assistant. And then Anderson died in a car crash.
We ended up with Kim English and Marcus Denmon instead (or arguably English/Paul). Things obviously went our way in the end. But what if Mike Anderson had never signed English and Denmon? We could be in a completely different place today than we are today.
