While I would agree that poor coaching is the main driver for our program's cratering, our inability to manage a roster is at worst 1A. It is a big deal.
Even if we did receive adequate coaching its simply impossible to compete with the type of youth, talent level, and constant turnover/lack of defined roles that we have experienced in this era.
Their options are limited because they are transferring out of a failed program that seriously impeded their ability to reach their potential and execute at a high level. Not because other major programs wouldn't have desired to have them initially or that they wouldn't have had productive careers had they been in normal circumstances.
