I don't enjoy discussing the warts on the Mizzou program. But I believe it was a serious matter, and caused a huge black eye for Mizzou (at a time when the University was already bruised and abused).
The NCAA investigation and sanctions are part of the reason the program is where it is today. Perhaps a small part, but they did play a role in the results of the last two seasons. Just like the Miami investigation played a role in Haith's failure to recruit at a level he probably could have otherwise.
My intent in this is not to defend CKA - it's to make sure that we stick to the facts and not deflect and minimize.
Your posts in this thread remind me of the Eleanor Roosevelt quote: "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."
