that Lock was disappointing in that aside from the BYU game he showed not even flashes of being able to make play with his arm, but to put horrid season at the feet of a true freshman is not fair. The offensive line was maybe the worst I have ever seen at D1 level, and the running game results were equally as bad which reinforces my point. Also, the coaching was just second tier; no ability to adjust and make things easier on Lock, just kept doing the same thing Saturday after Saturday. The receivers were equally as bad as they couldn't hold onto the ball when it was catchable from Lock, and couldn't get any separation most of the time.
Very rarely do first time starters do well in SEC. It's a new slate with capable coaches; Hill back to receivers, and new blood everywhere else. If offense can just be efficient in moving the chains we win three more SEC games. I'm most worried about Odom adjusting to being a head coach, and our team playing smart by minimal penalties and turnovers. Having said that I love Odom and think he has star potential. Excited about the defense and the season.
