Every decision he made in tough situations (while at Mizzou) made situations worse. He will be a disaster at Baylor too unless he becomes a Castiglione-type "yes man."
A department in turmoil is not fertile training on the job territory. Experience is what is needed right now. At the outset, I believe this is a good hire. Baker would have been in over his head.
