of taking over a program is player retainment. If Kim had been able to retain ANY players he inherited until his 3rd year this would be an entirely different situation. Hell, Frank Haith had no inherited players on his 3rd team and still won 23 games. I don't see why Kim should get a pass.
And the comparison to Wisconsin is preposterous. Bo Ryan never had 9 and 10 win seasons while rebuilding. He never missed the tourney and had plenty of teams that relied on underclassmen. We aren't building anything like Wisconsin.
