I'm betting a lot of the money is Mizzou connected in one way or another, especially because of his sports and basketball notoriety. The two are not mutually exclusive. Staff handles day to day activities and I'm guessing he employs investment managers. Guys like Jon are rainmakers more than analysts. This job doesn't hurt that, and might help it. I suspect clients might be ok with him managing the affairs of the university they love.
