According to various internet sites, Sundvold Financial has about 500 clients and 411 million under management. I suspect a good deal of that money is in "retirement" accounts that Sundvold Financial manages for firms and individuals.
Perhaps Sundvold feels a "responsibility" to those individuals who had enough faith in him to give him control of their retirement funds that he would choose to continue to look after their interests, to place those interests above Tiger Athletics.
And when a client calls Sundvold Financial and asks to speak to Jon and is told "Jon's not in today, he's travelling as part of the Tiger AD search committee", how will clients react. Great way to lose a client.
Jon is fifty-five. The next five to ten years will be critical for Sundvold Financial's success. If it is successful, it will likely provide more income, wealth and security for Jon and his family, multi-generational wealth and security, than the Tiger AD job.
