Mack needed to go and both sides knew it -- was a mutual separation, no doubt. It was an odd situation, the guy never really was a Mizzou guy.

Baker leaving is part of the natural progression of his career. Majority of the time you need to run the show as AD somewhere smaller before doing it at the bigger level.
