Football was meaningless we would become the laughingstock of the SEC. We would not be known as a great academic school like Vanderbilt or Northwestern. No one would like or respect us for putting college football in true "perspective." We would become an average (maybe slightly above average) academic university with bad sports. Not a good look

How about before we start taking football less seriously, wait until blue bloods like Alabama and Oklahoma start putting CFB in "perspective"
