Ukraine held the third-largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world.

The US, Russia, and Britain promised security assurances for Ukraine’s sovereignty and borders in exchange for giving up the nukes (primarily to Russia).

That invokes a moral obligation to follow through on that commitment.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
