As those are not positions I hold or have espoused.
“The US is therefore morally and (to Ukraine) verbally/other obligated to fight Russia in Ukraine until Putin retreats, surrenders or otherwise capitulates.”
The US made security assurances to Ukraine. They were morally obligated to honor those assurances. That is not an obligation to fight Russia in Ukraine. It would have been best to honor those assurances prior to Russia taking land (Crimea) by force. It is likely too late to do so at this point.
“There is no time or financial limit to this support and, if enough is given, Putin will undoubtedly be vanquished.”
There are always time and financial limits. On the other hand, Putin could be vanquished given sufficient time/resources, but not through the methods currently being deployed.
“Any conversation of negotiating peace that involves any territorial surrender by Ukraine to Russia is unacceptable policy and immoral.”
Not a position I hold. Ukraine shouldn’t have to give up territory, but they likely will.
