to the supreme court to preserve their 100+ year-old sacred tradition of excluding blacks from various whites-only parts of society, namely public schools.
The state of kansas was the defendant in the groundbreaking Brown vs. the Board of Education supreme court ruling that ended segregation. Kansas was not on the side of fighting FOR black rights, they were the defendants fighting AGAINST black rights.
