This is in no way a start towards balancing the budget. Quite the opposite. There is a reason it contains a historic increase in the debt ceiling, and will add a historic amount to the defecit. His first term was one of the highest increases in the deficit, in real dollars, in the country's history, and this term may surpass that. That is why someone actually concerned with the deficit like Ron Paul will not vote for it. Most in both parties just want to get pork for their constituents (like Murkowski) or promise everyone what they want to hear, all the while the budget deficit balloons again. ANd the rich get richer, at the expense of the poor.
