There's just too many other teams with viable football programs. And if you keep scheduling them in the regular season, and counting the wins over them, be they Big 12, ACC, or Sunbelt, then you have to let them in the playoffs. Otherwise it makes no sense. You are are scheduling "exhibition games" and counting them toward YOUR playoff berth but you won't let that team you are playing have a chance?
